"BLE iPod GiveAway" Contest Winner Reports that iPod has "Died"

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

In an unfortunate turn of not-so-recent press-related events, the winner of Black Label Empire's "BLE iPod Giveaway" from 2004 has reported that the iPod won during the 2004 contest has, reportedly, died of battery failure. Black Label Empire customer support was unable to assist the winner of the 2004 contest, as no member of the customer support team could acknowledge there ever being an iPod Giveaway during their span of employment.

When questioned for comment, Black Label Empire management stated that no further contests would be announced in the near future, but that "said" contest winner would be "well-taken care of" were there to be another contest in the near future.

Black Label Empire Announces "BLE iPod GiveAway" Contest

Black Label Empire announced today a contest that is running, entilted the "BLE iPod GiveAway." The contest is open to all persons that purchase at least one item from http://www.blacklabelempire.com; upon purchase, that person is automatically entered to receive a free 10GB Apple iPod loaded with BLE's entire catalog of music. The drawing is to be held after the contest expires on February 17, 2004.

Black Label Empire Announces Launch of its Internet Web Radio Program

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Black Label Empire announced today the launch of its Internet Web Radio program, suitably titled “BLE WebRadio” and featuring streams of its artists’ music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

BLE WebRadio is to be Black Label Empire’s first venture into streaming media on the Internet. Future plans call for live broadcasts of BLE events and concerts, as well as specialized broadcasts of unreleased recordings and outtakes from BLE releases.

Fun'iki to Disband Temporarily

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Fun'iki has temporarily disbanded. Citing drug and financial woes, as well as creative/lifestyle differences, it appears their April 12 show at Exit/In was the last for this lineup. Cohorts Brian Kotzur and Matt Hex will return to their roots as the Brian Kotzur Band with a performance at Shirley Street Station on May 9 with Dancehanger and Tim Chad & Sherry. It is unknown who will accompany them, although it is rumored that Naked Baby may return for guitar duties.

Black Label Empire and Fun'iki wish to thank those who supported this project.As a side note, anyone interested in owning a piece of Fun'iki instrumental memorabilia should check Nashville pawn shops.

Black Label Empire Announces Summer Tour

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Black Label Empire announced today its intention to proceed with a massive summer tour later this year. Currently, five artists have been selected to represent the label, though no confirmations have, as of yet, been made. Andy Bodean and the Bottom Boys, Communist, Fun'iki, Nuthanger and Tim Chad & Sherry, along with their respective management, are in negotiations with Black Label Empire's Events Department so that the summer tour can proceed as planned.

Unofficial Communist Fan-Club Founder Found Dead at 23

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Nashville Communist fan and “mama's boy” found dead at an apartment on Paris Ave. near Belmont University. An unintelligible note thought to describe loneliness and a desire for suicide was found next to a smoking bong.

Doctors have said that the dosage of the marijuana would have been enough to "kill the most serious of addicts" and could be "nothing other than a suicide attempt."

Gilley was a freshman at MTSU and was expected to complete a Biology degree.

Services are to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hendersonville, TN on Thursday at 2:00 PM.

Black Label Empire Terminates Chief Video Director

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Black Label Empire announced today that it has terminated its Chief Video Director, Sonny Akers. The move happened as a result of some horrifying events that took place during a meeting at BLE’s Nashville location. Apparently, Mr. Akers did not share the views of a certain BLE artist and sought to end the dispute by engaging in vicious, physical force. Moreover, a number of BLE employees was also injured during the attacks.

A BLE spokesperson commented that “Mr. Akers will never work with this company again, so long as I’m on watch - If anyone sees Sonny you can tell him I’m looking for him, and this time I won’t try to take anything out, I’ll just kill him [and] you can quote me.”

Mr. Akers could not be reached for his comments.

Nuthanger to be Featured on German Television Commercial

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Nuthanger's management announced today that its artist is to be featured on a German television commercial promoting an alcoholic beverage known as "Verseltzer." Apparently, Nuthanger's personal road manager, Lars Studen, will be seen enjoying the beverage in a "happening" German club.

Black Label Empire announced today that its studio, Black Label Studio, is to acquire an eleventh hard-drive for its computer systems, so that its artists’ recordings will be safer and more secure. This new hard-drive is to feature cutting-edge specifications so that the label’s recordings will be kept securely in storage.

Black Label Empire announced today a new release from Communist entitled "American Modulator." The disc is to feature six original compositions and is expected to do well in the European market.

Black Label Empire announced today its first world tour with Andy Bodean and the Bottom Boys and Communist. Both artists will be touring the United States collectively, yet Andy Bodean and the Bottom Boys will also be making appearances in the United Kingdom.

As per Black Label Empire policy, promotional Compact Disc's from both artists will be made complimentary at all performances.

Black Label Studio Acquires Hondo Mainframe

Black Label Empire announced today that it has purchased another computer for recording purposes, dubbed the "Hondo Mainframe." The new PC is to feature an impressive list of hardware options and will be powered by Microsoft's Windows XP operating system.

The purchase should prove a valuable asset among the label's "rap" and "techno" clientele.

Nuthanger to Tour Germany Again in 2003

Nuthanger’s management announced today that it intends to send its artist back to its home country of Germany for a small tour in 2003. Even though this tour violates BLE policy (touring without an official release), the label agreed that the extreme heavy-metal act is making little impact here in the states.

Black Label Empire Releases its Quarterly Earnings

-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-

Black Label Empire released its quarterly earnings today. Surprisingly, the young, independent label earned more than it had intended despite the fact that 2001 was a terrible year overall in the music business.

A Black Label Empire spokesperson commented that its earnings "have more to do with our policy of allowing customers the chance to download all music first from the Internet before they decide to make a purchase."

Black Label Empire announced today its lastest signing: San Francisco's Abraham, Martin & John.

Abraham, Martin & John features three self-proclaimed songwriters and was brought to Nashville after hearing a demo recording of BLE's Tim Chad & Sherry. The two groups hope to tour together in the not so distant future (this has not yet been confirmed with Tim Chad & Sherry).

Black Label Studio announced today that it has acquired a baby grand piano for recording purposes. The decision was made in hopes that more "Country" acts would be lured by the prospect of having an authentic grand piano appear on their demo recordings.

It has not been determined how this will affect the studio's current status with the "rap" community.

Black Label Studio Opens for Business

Nashville now has another studio to grace its busy streets: Black Label Studio, located at 1200 Clinton Street in historic Marathon Village.

Black Label Studio is the only recording facility in Nashville that offers 24-bit digital equipment and a large tracking room at a reasonable price. The control room over looks the spacious 483 sq. foot tracking room with a raised hard-wood floor. The studio also features a vocal booth, an amp room, and a lounge that is equipped with microphone lines to double as an additional isolation booth.
